What Will I Learn at KIS?
The KIS academy will teach you everything you need to know about the construction industry. You’ll learn how to use tools, how to read blueprints and drawings, and more. You’ll also gain skills that can help you succeed in life. You’ll be taught the basics of mathematics, reading comprehension, science, and social studies. And if you’re not able to attend our full-time program after school hours or on weekends for any reason, we offer an alternative program for students with a part-time schedule.

Q. Is KIS a boarding school?
- No. KIS is not a boarding school and all students are local residents of Northern Virginia. The schools offer dorms on campus with single rooms with two beds each. The dorm facilities offer private bathrooms, individual climate control systems, cable TV access and more. Students will be responsible for bringing their own bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets), toiletries (soap, shampoo), laundry supplies (laundry detergent) as well as personal items like clothes hangers or suitcases.
